This notice explains how Makro Defense processes personal data collected through this website, in line with Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK").

2. Personal data we process
- Contact and quote forms: name, e-mail address, phone number, company name and any information you include in your message.
- Registered users: username, display name, authorisation level and an irreversible hash of your password (the password itself is never stored).
- Security logs: IP address, browser/device information, access time, pages and products viewed, document downloads, successful and failed sign-in attempts.
- Cookies: strictly necessary cookies for the session; measurement cookies only with your consent.
No special categories of personal data are collected; please do not include such information in the forms.
3. Purposes of processing

- Restricting confidential product information to authorised users only,
- Ensuring information security and detecting and recording unauthorised access attempts,
- Improving the website and producing visit and request statistics,
- Meeting retention and disclosure obligations under applicable law.

- KVKK art. 5/2-f: legitimate interest in information security and establishing rights.

5. Method of collection
Data is collected electronically and by partly automated means through website forms, user sign-in and server-side logging.
6. Transfers
Data is not shared with third parties other than our hosting and e-mail service providers, except for lawful requests from competent public authorities. If you consent to measurement cookies, traffic data in the form of online identifiers may be transferred to the relevant analytics provider's servers abroad. No such transfer occurs without your consent.
7. Retention periods
- Contact and quote records: up to 2 years after the request is closed; statutory periods apply where a commercial relationship is established.
- Access and security logs: up to 180 days, deleted automatically thereafter.
- User accounts: while the account is active; deleted when the account is closed.
8. Your rights
Under KVKK art. 11 you may learn whether your personal data is processed, request information about it, learn the purpose of processing, know the third parties to whom data is transferred in Türkiye or abroad, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request erasure or destruction, request that such actions be notified to third parties, object to results arising from automated analysis, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

9. Security measures
Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes, management screens require authorisation, failed sign-in attempts are rate-limited and logged, data in transit is encrypted with SSL and data is backed up regularly.
